About Web Traffic Control
Who's behind it
Web Traffic Control is brought to you by UareL, a digital agency based in London. We came up with the idea to develop a platform where bloggers and advertisers could easily trade guest posts back in December 2010. We were using guest blogging (and still are) as a means to drive traffic and get quality back links for our clients, but it was proving very difficult to find enough of the right opportunities. After 12 months of hard work, a significant investment, and a number of conceptual revisions we are set to launch in January 2012.
About guest posting
Guest posting is where you write and publish a post on someone else's blog. The post is relevant to your interests and the blog you're writing for. You can typically include one or two backlinks to your website. The benefits are that you get exposure to a targeted audience, get links to help boost your search rankings, and drive direct traffic. The host blog you're writing for gets some fresh content for their blog (it can be challenging to consistently produce quality content), as well as the opportunity to give their readers something a little different. WTC adds an extra incentive into the mix where blog owners can optionally charge a fixed fee to publish a post.
Search engine guidelines
We provide the technology for bloggers and advertisers to exchange posts and the terms of each transaction are agreed directly between the two parties involved. Posts can be published for without any payments and nofollow attributes can be used where appropriate. We encourage you to review and adhere to Google's webmaster guidelines.
The launch plan
To start with we need bloggers to join so there is somewhere for the advertiser guest posts to go. So as a blogger, you might not start to receive opportunities straight away.
The system will be in Beta for the first few months so we can iron out any bugs and get it running smoothly. Your patience during this time is appreciated!
